PIN Generator
Calculator Use
Generate a random PIN (Personal Identification Number) using the numbers 0 through 9.
How to Generate a PIN
- Enter the number of digits you want in your PIN. 4-digits and 6-digits are typical PIN lengths, but this calculator can generate PINs up to 100 numbers long.
- Allow re-use of numbers by checking the box Allow Repeat Numbers. This means your PIN may have more than one occurrence of any number 0 through 9.
- Unchecking the box means the numbers 0 to 9 can be used only once for each PIN you generate. Note that PINs over 9 digits in length require re-use of the numbers 0 through 9.
Security of the PIN Generator
We cannot guarantee secrecy of PINs randomly generated with this calculator, however this website does use secure HTTP or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS).
If you see https:// at the beginning of the url in the browser address bar, you'll also see a closed lock symbol indicating secure HTTPS is in use. If everything is operating as expected the communication between this website's server and your computer or device will be secure. So only you (and anyone else looking at your screen) would be able to see the PINs you generate with this calculator.
For other information on potential security risks see the Wikipedia entry on HTTPS Security.
This PIN generator uses a pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) programming algorithm.
